Get creative for better team-building results
Team building is evolving. As this story in the Chicago Tribune explains, companies are ditching clichéd activities like raft-building and trust falls in favour of more creative activities.
Instead of paying money for old rope (literally, in the case of some courses), forward-looking executives are taking their teams on more engaging — and more fun — activities.
The payoff is that these creative and enjoyable team-building activities are also more effective.
According to Wendy Bedwell, an assistant professor of organizational psychology at the University of South Florida, research shows that old-school team-building activities “really didn’t improve [team members’] performance.” More creative team-building activities, however, have “amped up both the fun quotient and the potential benefits to the workplace.”

Triple Orange a Signature Cocktail:
The Triple Orange Gin & Tonic is based on an iconic flavour of the sun-kissed Mediterranean: orange. A blend of Italian citrus in three different textures inspires a reversal of the classic G & T.
Candy Crush a Sparkling Cocktail:
For brave souls who want to enjoy the world of tequila, this refreshing cocktail fuses the flavours of agave and elderflower with the tangy notes of ginger beer, citrus fruit and sugar — and let’s not forget the Pop Rocks, which bring the party to you! Served in a yoghurt pot glass with cubed and crushed ice.
